For now, all comments will go into moderation. There are a few spam plugins available for TextPattern. I haven’t had a chance to look at any of them yet. Between Andrea and I we will try to check a few times a day and approve comments as needed.

As a side note. It was really nice to have comments again :)

  2. Just wondering why you need moderation. I never get any comment spam and I don’t use any plugins. I looked at your source and it is quite different to mine, so perhaps it’s the way you’ve set it up. I think most people don’t get spam using Textpattern, so let me know if you’d like a copy of my comments setup.

  4. Jax – so far I’ve not had a single spam. Since most of the spam is generated by bots, I expect it wiill take a bit before any show up.
