On Friday we passed the 1 year anniversary of the moving truck arriving here with our belongings. We arrived the night before that and sort of camped out in the house. The week before, I had moved the temporary setup I had from the apartment to here.
We had a few cold days and nights before the weather warmed up the house. Because it had not been heated all winter the structure of the house and basement were still quite cold. If it was above 10C (50F) we opened windows to let the warmer outside air in to help warm up the house.
The weather forecast for this week looks much like it did last year. The high temps will be room temperature or warmer.
What I will likely remember about it is that even though we spent a few days in somewhat harsh conditions, we were together. I don’t recall any of us minding the cold much :)
